Account Deletion

Buddiqo (legally registered as Buddiqo Foundation Inc. in Canada) respects your privacy and gives you control over your account and personal data. You may permanently delete your Buddiqo account at any time directly from within the app.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your account directly from within the Buddiqo app by following these steps:
- Open the Settings screen.
- Select Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Enter your current password to verify your identity.
- Tap Delete Account to permanently delete your account.
Your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted after confirmation. This action is irreversible.
2. Data That Will Be Deleted
When your account is deleted, the personal information associated with your account is permanently removed, including:
- Your profile information.
- Your login credentials.
- Your journal entries and related journal data.
- Your chat messages.
- Your active and previous matches.
- Your block list.
- Your reports submitted through the app.
3. Data Retention
In certain circumstances, limited information may be retained where required by applicable law or for legitimate security, fraud prevention, or regulatory purposes. Any retained information is kept only for as long as necessary to satisfy those obligations.
4. Before You Delete Your Account
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- You will immediately lose access to your Buddiqo account.
- Your journals, chats, and other personal data will be permanently deleted.
- If you are currently matched with another user, the chat session will automatically end.
